What Goes Into Making My Website?

Consulting Phase 1:

  • Meetings with you or the designated individual to discuss and review the requirements of the project.
  • Conversational dialogue will uncover other issues to fully leverage the objectives to encompass your needs.
  • Do you already have a website?
  • Do you have a domain name? ..(What is in a name..?)
  • Not just any Domain Name.com will do !

“What is my role?”

  • We need proper communication with all our clients. You or a designated representative will share with us what site basics to include. Can you provide any literature – written copy; graphical, visual, audio or other multimedia content elements for your site in a timely manner?
  • Once all the elements of your website are together we can move forward to the other phases.
  • If you are unable to provide certain elements for your website; Do not Fear…we are here to handle any elements you may need to make this all happen.

“How Much does this Cost?” ($500-$500,000+)

  • Not all website projects are the same. Some are rather simple and straight forward. Many other website projects require Search Engine ranking, business directory listing, marketing and social media integration. (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yellow Pages, Facebook, etc, etc.)
  • Prices vary depending on many variables; the number of pages your site will have, special features it may include, the type of site being built, consulting time, hand holding, specialty graphics, audio & video, social media integration, Search Engine Optimization, Marketing, etc. We always do our best to work within your approximated budget. A website can be a very simple “Front Door” style or an extensive fully encompassing & evolving project.

What do you want your site to communicate?

Copyrighting & Content:

  • Will you provide the content you want to see on your site or will you be taking advantage of our design & copyrighting services?
  • Being clear and concise is key.

Image & Graphics:

  • Will you use any stock house images?
  • Will you provide your own to use?
  • Will we design special “Splash” elements?

Design – Layout: (Your site look & feel)

  • We may choose to design a homepage, navigation and sub-page mock-ups for you to preview. If you like what you see, then we go through the revision process of fine-tuning the designs to meet your needs.
  • You can also provide a reference point; ie.. competitors site or other website with style and/or features you desire.

Development: (Set-up & Testing)

Construct Phase:

  • Creation of web page templates, any applicable shopping cart modules, & integration with any existing back-end systems.
  • Multimedia element designs and other “Splash” items.

Fine Tune & Initial Review Phase:

  • Special attention to the details; spelling, grammar, specific language and industry terminology.
    ( Medical, Legal, Verbiage, etc)

Testing Phase:

  • Here is where you & us make sure everything works like it’s supposed to before your site goes live.

Maintenance & Updates:

  • We build most sites with the potential for each client to delegate or make specific updates or changes themselves. A unique content management system is provided to each client to utilize.
  • We can also handle the entire process from beginning -> to end ->+ future anticipated “freshening”.
  • Training is available for certain aspects of the content management system that you may need assistance with.

Support Phase:

  • We’re here to help you during each step of the process. We welcome any questions or concerns you may have regarding your project. We offer several different hosting packages to suit your business needs.

How long until I see my site on the internet ?

  • Any successful website project will take a minimum of 30+ days to initiate.
